Zonderkidz Hires New Acquisition Editors
and Senior Marketing Director

(Grand Rapids, MI) – Zonderkidz, the children’s division for Zondervan, recently announced the onboarding of two new acquisition editors and a new senior marketing director.

Sara Bierling has been named acquisition editor overseeing Zonderkidz Bibles.  Bierling joined Zondervan in November 2013, most recently serving as assistant editor for Zonderkidz.  Her projects have included Angels: A 90-Day Devotional about God’s Messengers and Prayers That Changed History. She continues to build relationships with both agents and authors. Sara holds a B.A. in English with a writing emphasis from Hope College.

Robyn Burwell is the new acquisition editor championing book titles geared for readers, ages nine and up. Burwell joined Zonderkidz on October 12.  Her portfolio includes owning Creative Word Editing, a coaching and editing agency geared at authors and graduate students, and working with several authors published by Abilene Christian University Press and Leafwood Publishers. Additionally, Burwell was an adjunct English professor at William Jessup University, a graduate of Sierra College, Abilene Christian University, and the University of California-San Diego with degrees in English Literature, Christian Ministry, and Biblical Text.

Kevin Traub will lead as the new senior marketing director for Kidz Bibles and Storybook Bibles.  Traub is a veteran in the Christian retailing industry, with more than twenty years of experience working with children’s products.  In his most recent position, Traub was the children’s product buyer at Family Christian Stores where he worked with notable brands such as VeggieTales, Operation Christmas Child, and Adventures in Odyssey.  Traub will begin his new role with Zonderkidz on October 19.
