WORTHY PUBLISHING RECEIVES TWO GOLD AWARDS FROM ECPA

ECPA HONORS FOUR BLOOD MOONS AND THE STORY OF CHRISTMAS
AT 2015 ECPA AWARDS BANQUET

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – May 12, 2015 At the annual Evangelical Christian Publishers Association Awards Banquet held in Murfreesboro, Tennessee this week, Worthy Publishing Group was recognized twice with the prestigious Gold Award observing over 500,000 copies sold. Worthy’s Four Blood Moons (Worthy Publishing, October 2013) by Pastor John Hagee and The Story of Christmas (Worthy Kids/Ideals, October 2010) by Patricia A. Pingry topped the list of Gold Award recipients after surpassing the required sales figures for this honor.

“Worthy is thrilled to have titles accredited with this award based on remarkable sales achievements,” said Byron Williamson, Worthy’s CEO and Publisher. “We are proud of our authors and congratulate Pastor Hagee and Patricia Pingry on these honors for their books.”

Four Blood  Moons—a New York Times, USA Today, and Publishers Weekly best-selling title by Pastor John Hagee of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio—draws on Scripture, NASA science, and recorded history to explain the biblical significance of astronomical events called “blood moons.” This fifth New York Times bestseller for Pastor Hagee explores what these blood moons mean, why readers must understand these signs, and what they portend for both Israel and the world.

ECPA also honored the Worthy Kids/Ideals imprint title The Story of Christmas by Patricia A. Pingry, a perennial bestseller for the imprint, presented in a new size with fresh, uplifting illustrations. It is the story of the Nativity told in 200 words—simple enough for a toddler to understand.

The ECPA Awards Banquet followed on the heels of the organization’s Leadership Summit, also held in Murfreesboro. ECPA employed a large social media campaign following the banquet to bring visibility to the award’s recipients using the hashtag #ReadGoodBooks.
