(Nashville, Tenn.) – Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee announced yesterday that he will seek the Republican Party’s nomination for President of the United States in 2016.

Voters will be able to get an inside look at the potential future President this November when W Publishing Group releases Huckabee: The Authorized Biography (W Publishing Group, November 2015, ISBN 9780718039158) – the only authorized account of the former governor’s life and career.

For the first time ever, Huckabee opened up his vault in order to give biographer Scott Lamb full, exclusive access to his personal library, files, and family records, as well as one-on-one time with numerous friends and family members. The hours of research and interviews revealed never-before-told stories about Huckabee that helped Lamb uncover a side of the man the media and public haven’t seen.

The biography will include stories from childhood friends that have never been put in print, accounts of Huckabee’s time in high school and college where he dealt first-hand in the issues of the day, as well as his time as Arkansas’ governor and as a presidential candidate in 2008.

“Readers will not only gain new insights into the personal and professional life of the former governor, but they’ll come to understand the paradox that is Mike Huckabee,” says Lamb. “From serving as both a preacher and a rock-and-roll DJ, to taking on issues even if it meant standing against the majority or even his own party, Mike Huckabee’s life defies the flat, one-dimensional characterization too often given to conservatives in general, and evangelicals in particular.”
