University of Chicago Press Senior Manuscript Editor Ruth Goring to present editorial essentials in PUBu session for beginning and veteran editors

“Getting the editorial essentials right is the editor’s most basic responsibility, ” says Ruth Goring, Senior Manuscript Editor at University of Chicago Press. Her upcoming session at ECPA’s PUBu, for editors in Christian publishing, will be presented as a crash course for young editors and a refresher for veteran editors. Goring also teaches advanced manuscript editing at the University of Chicago’s Graham School of Continuing Liberal and Professional Studies. “Industry editors have a unique opportunity to learn or ‘refresh’ the basics from an expert in manuscript editing,” states PUBu editorial community manager Larry Weeden, Director of Book Development, Curriculum, & Acquisitions at Focus on the Family. “I encourage all industry editors to attend PUBu, not only for the content but also the opportunity to network as a community.”
