(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) January 11, 2016— New Hope® Publishers announces the third book in its “Gifts of Hope” series 30 Days of Hope for Strength in Chronic Illness by Elizabeth Evans. Evans’s devotional offers encouragement to anyone feeling betrayed by their body. Diagnosed at an early age with cystic fibrosis, Evans knows about lifelong struggle with a disease and the fallout it creates. Through personal reflections on God’s faithfulness, she candidly offers words of encouragement for anyone battling through: depression, feelings of inadequacy, feelings of betrayal, guilt about leaving everyone behind, guilt about being a burden, and the desperate desire to be “normal.” 30 Days of Hope for Strength in Chronic Illness reminds the reader that God is in control and He will help you see His blessings in the midst of struggles.

“Beth Evans has inspired me personally since the day we met, not only because of her anointed writing but because of her faith and tenacity before incredible trials. 30 Days of Hope for Strength in Chronic Illness will be a blessing to caregivers as well as to the victims of illness, increasing spiritual joy despite what is experienced in the flesh.” —Ellen C. Sallas, editorial director of Little Roni Publishers and founder of the Author’s Mentor

“Elizabeth Evans’s story brings hope to anyone struggling with an ongoing challenge or disappointment. She shows through her journey how to trust God when our faith doesn’t heal our situation. 30 Days of Hope for Strength in Chronic Illness is a book for every believer looking for encouragement and for every person who wonders if there is a God who cares. Each of the devotionals provides the perfect combination of Scripture, story, and inspiration to serve as a daily reminder that we can and must rely on the Lord for everything in life.” —Andrea Mullins

Elizabeth Evans is an amazingly strong woman who loves her Savior Jesus Christ. Diagnosed at an early age with cystic fibrosis, she was not expected to live past the age of three. She acknowledges that God had different plans for her as she has long outlived that prognosis. To show her love for God, she has taught Bible studies, been involved in prison ministry, and offers people words of encouragement. Elizabeth is married, a mother of five, and grandmother of six. She calls Birmingham, Alabama, home.
