Amazed by the unexpected success of her memoir, The God Box: Sharing My Mother’s Gift of Faith, Love and Letting Go, author Mary Lou Quinlan has found a new purpose in life: to pass on the inspirational example of her mother’s simple faith. This journey has led Quinlan to travel the United States performing her one-act play, which is based on her New York Times best-selling book. Event officials have just announced that The God Box play has been selected for performance at the largest, most prestigious festival in the world, Edinburgh’s “Fringe,” Festival from July 31-August 25More than 200,000 visitors from around the world converge on Scotland’s capital city every August for the finest in theater, dance, music, and performance art. This year’s festival attendees will have the opportunity to see Quinlan perform her acclaimed solo show, which takes audiences on an emotional rollercoaster from grief to laughter to the greatest human challenge: learning to let go.
