If you want to reach parents, grandparents, or educators, you’ll want to know about the upcoming Orange County Children’s Book Festival!

Founded in 2004, this literary-centered event has grown exponentially, from 5,000 attendees to an impressive 30,000 attendees. The family-friendly event captures the spirit and excitement of reading for young children and offers activities like storytelling, a wild animal stage and petting zoo, face painting, train rides, book signings and more.

The Orange County Children’s Book Festival is a great opportunity to reach the core audiences for Children’s books as well as all things child and family related.  Christian market participants have included K-LOVE/AIR1, the Bible Belles, creators of the Power Bible: Green Egg Media, Rose Publishing, FaithWalker comics and more.

Among the special guests currently scheduled to appear at the one-day event this year are: the voice talents who brings Nickelodeon’s The Wonder Pets to life, celebrity authors such as Jamie Lee Curtis, author of Big Words for Little People, Barney Saltzberg, author of Crazy Hair Day, Robin Preiss Glasser, illustrator of the Fancy Nancy book series and Michael Buckley, author of NERDS series. The many engaging activities are sprawled over an ambitious schedule this year, ensuring there will be plenty to do for every age range.

This year’s event will take place on September 25, 2016, and features free admission and free parking at the beautiful venue, Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa.

The event, which is organized by an all-volunteer team, has extensive ties to the community, shown by the many sponsors who are walking alongside them this year (including the Orange County Department of Education, Orange County Public Libraries, PBS So Cal, and the Orange County Register, among others). It also will include booths with exhibitors showcasing children’s books, educational products and resources, and literary-related programs. With 100 authors, 18 storytellers, and 20 illustrators appearing, this is simply an event you won’t want to miss.
