ECPA's Rush To PressTEA PARTY CHIEF CORRESPONDENT PENS NEW BOOK

Scottie Nell Hughes tackles the myth of the weak and meek, conservative American woman

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – May 19th, 2014Worthy Publishing announces the signing of journalist and Tea Party correspondent Scottie Nell Hughes for her debut book entitled ROAR: The New Conservative Woman Speaks Out (September 2014). As a woman who continues to defy political stereotypes, Hughes has often found herself feeling marginalized and ignored by establishment political parties and mainstream media—particularly as an outspoken Christian conservative. Yet she emphatically rejects 21st-century labels, choosing instead to emphasize the strength of the new conservative woman in everyday life and politics. From her deep faith and her love for family to her independence, she refuses to participate in a manufactured war against men.

“Worthy is honored to publish Scottie’s debut title which will speak to a broad audience in an election season when people are searching for new definitions of what it means to be a conservative,” said Byron Williamson, president of Worthy Publishing.

No stranger to the media, Hughes’ stories covering some of the most notorious names in politics and Hollywood have been featured on The Drudge ReportBreitbartThe BlazeWorld Net Daily, and The Daily Caller. “I’m delighted to be working with Worthy and to begin a movement that fights back against a modern culture that treats ‘pro-women’ and ‘conservative’ as incompatible,” states Hughes. “ROAR gives new voice to a demographic that has long been maligned, but whose time for being heard has come.”
