The Biola Media Conference announced today a new networking event called the “ACCESS LUNCH” where a limited number of attendees will have exclusive one-on-one access to 12 key entertainment industry professionals at a privately held luncheon on the CBS Studio Center lot taking place on Saturday, April 30th.
We’ve announced the workshops for the Biola Media Conference! These breakout sessions are the best opportunity you’ll ever have to hear from Hollywood’s film, television and digital media experts in a very intimate setting where, in most cases, you can ask questions. I am not overstating that point. There is NO other event in the country where you can have this much access to this many professionals who share your faith.
We just final confirmed this today! I’m excited to let you know about the new Access Lunch programming for the Biola Media Conference which is taking place on April 30, 2011. Be a part of an intimate (10 person) “round table” lunch hosted by an industry professional of your choice during the Biola Media Conference. Held privately in Carla’s Café on the CBS Studio Center lot from 12:00pm-1:30pm, the Access Lunch provides our BMC attendees with a new opportunity to learn from leading industry professionals and “access” their wisdom.
We just added a new session and sponsorship option for the Biola Media Conference! Now available for sponsorship, a pre-conference workshop and breakfast reception with Producer Ken Wales (Amazing Grace, Christy – CBS TV Series, Revenge of the Pink Panther) and Director Jerry Jamison (Raise the Titanic, Hallmark, JAG Touched by an Angel, Magnum PI.)
Halleen and Franklin join ten newly added workshop speakers including screenwriter for two Jerry Bruckheimer films Bill Marsilli, producer of “Scary Movie” Lisa Blum, director of Fox’s “Sunset Strip” Adam Collis, world-renowned Hollywood Economics lecturer Bobbette Buster, producer of “Like Dandelion Dust” starring Mira Sorvino, Bobby Downes, co-producer of “Mission Impossible III” Arthur Anderson, Co-Founder of the LA Film Festival, Thomas Ethan Harris, former supervising producer for “The Late Show” Dan Rupple, social media strategist Matt Meeks, production executive Susana Zepeda, and BMC host and founder of Cooke Pictures, Phil Cooke.
I’m not surprised. I’ve been waiting for an excuse to write about Idol. Last night, American Idol gave Fox its highest ratings yet in prime time, with a 10.9 rating/16 share according to Nielsen Media Research data, an average of 12 million households tuning into the network, between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. This is a Chutes and Ladders game story…
Consultant to Disney Animation, Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions and Twentieth Century Fox, Bobette Buster, and film festival strategist and producer, Thomas Ethan Harris, will join the Biola Media Conference speaker line-up. In its 16th year, attracting more than 700 attendees, the one-day seminar is assembling leading voices in the entertainment industry to inspire those working in cinema and media arts.
One of my soapbox items for the last three years has been video advertising. Why has the Christian market not taken full advantage of the power of commercial spots delivered via the Internet?
The Biola Media Conference welcomes one of the most influential voices in the digital revolution, co-founder of Wired Magazine, and futurist, Kevin Kelly, as keynote speaker at the 16th annual Biola Media Conference to be held at the CBS Studio Center lot in Studio City, CA on Saturday, April 30, 2011.
Kelly is a leading voice in technology and its cultural consequences. He is editor and publisher of the Cool Tools website, which gets half a million unique visitors per month. From 1984-1990 Kelly was publisher and editor of the Whole Earth Review, a journal of unorthodox technical news. He co-founded the ongoing Hackers’ Conference, and was involved with the launch of the WELL, a pioneering online service. He authored the best-selling books New Rules for the New Economy, Out of Control and just released his latest book, What Technology Wants and remains a popular contributor to the famed online lecture series “Ted Talks”.
