Now that A+E Network’s Duck Dynasty/Phil Robertson clash has largely passed, I found Variety’s article by Larry Poland to be an excellent analysis of the gap between the Hollywood industry and the faith-based market, though I might have worded a few things differently. In my opinion, I don’t think that the core execs in the industry have invested the same effort into understanding the faith-based, Christian market as they have for other core values that define markets based on gender,…

JESUS Film in Animé Goes Viral

As a Board member for the Christian Comic Arts Society, I am SUPER excited to share this with you! My friends over at Campus Crusade just completed a monumental project. They’ve taken history’s most-translated film, JESUS, and done a very innovative new translation. Instead of being in a different language, this new short film uses tells the story of Jesus in Japanese animé! The short film is called My Last Day and will premiere online worldwide today. It is the first professionally produced Christian movie ever done in animé. Seven years in the making, the nine-minute movie frames the story of the crucifixion through the eyes of the thief crucified next to Jesus of Nazareth.

New “Access Lunch” Networking Event To Provide Attendees with One-on-One Access to Leading Professionals at the Biola Media Conference

The Biola Media Conference announced today a new networking event called the “ACCESS LUNCH” where a limited number of attendees will have exclusive one-on-one access to 12 key entertainment industry professionals at a privately held luncheon on the CBS Studio Center lot taking place on Saturday, April 30th.

Which film, television or digital media Exec would you like to meet personally?

We’ve announced the workshops for the Biola Media Conference! These breakout sessions are the best opportunity you’ll ever have to hear from Hollywood’s film, television and digital media experts in a very intimate setting where, in most cases, you can ask questions. I am not overstating that point. There is NO other event in the country where you can have this much access to this many professionals who share your faith.
