ANGEL SMYTHE TO JUDGE SPIRIT WEST COAST’S “PARTNER AND PLAY” STAGE

Los Angeles, CA – Acclaimed L.A. Music Award winning artist Angel Smythe has been given a rare honor as an independent artist. Spirit West Coast has asked Angel and her band to not only perform on the festival mainstage alongside some of the most successful artists in Christian music, she has been asked to stay and judge the beloved “Partner and Play” stage as well.

“Partner & Play” is a program that provides opportunities for independent artists and bands to perform at the festival. Covering the genres of solo/duo performance, worship band or rock/urban band, this program is truly unique in that participating artists have the chance to not only win a cash prize and recording session, they receive a critique by professional music industry judges in an “American Idol” showcase format.

LOVEFEST 10: DIVINE DESIGN

Arcadia, CA – LoveFest is happy to announce their 2012 lineup, focusing on the topic: DIVINE DESIGN. Held on February 11th and 12th in Arcadia, CA, LOVEFEST 10: DIVINE DESIGN guarantees to be of interest to all in attendance. With compelling discussion and entertainment, the event allows both youth and adults to examine the challenges facing teens in their daily life. Hosted by Our Savior Lutheran Church, LoveFest will feature Chaos Theory (Clint Thomas and Aaron Davis), Dr. Micah Parker, Pam Stenzel and Karen Kropf as keynote speakers, and Dove-Award winning Barlowgirl will be leading workshops as well as performing on Saturday evening.

Now in its tenth year, LoveFest will to continue its bold and honest conversations for teens on the topic of abstinence, as well as straightforward discussions about sex that too often the church avoids. This year’s breakout sessions include classes and topics for all attendees, ranging in age from tweens to great-grandparents. Workshops include “Grief: Love One Another”, “Internet Dangers”, “Tweens, Teens and Boomers”, “Teen Depression”, “Communication Breakdowns”, Handling Homosexual Attraction”, “Youth and Adult Trust”, and many others.

Cornerstone Festival Announces A New Look – New Pricing

Cornerstone Festival, the church’s most diverse celebration of Christians in art and culture, has a new look and a new pricing structure. To the seasoned attendees, the festival might take on a vintage feel.

For the past 29 years, faith-filled attendees of all ages, styles and denominations have made the pilgrimage to the hills of Western Illinois for this week-long celebration. They come to be inspired through seminary level classes and discussions, entertained with the best in music and film, spurred to further creativity with visual art, invigorated through sport and competition and to experience spiritual renewal among this diverse gathering of believers that makes the Cornerstone Festival community.
