South University and Logos Bible Software to Provide Students Unprecedented Access to Digital Textbooks and Reference Library

SAVANNAH, Ga. – September 15, 2016 – South University is teaming up with Logos Bible Software to provide its College of Theology students unprecedented access to a digital library of textbooks, research tools, and hundreds of theological reference works.

“We are proud to be the first educational institution to offer our theology students all of their required textbooks in the Logos platform,” said South University College of Theology Dean Robert R. Redman, Jr., Dr. theol. “In addition to their textbooks, our students will have access to the Logos Bible Software which equips them with their own personal, digital library of more than 1,000 theological research tools and more than 70 textbooks that they can access in seconds.”

This access will drastically change how students can conduct research and prepare dissertations for South University’s Doctor of Ministry program. Instead of spending hours searching for materials and printed texts in a research library, South University students will be able to gather and retrieve the information almost instantly from their laptop, tablet or mobile phone. When students graduate, they will retain access to both their textbooks and the reference resources on the Logos platform permanently.

“Our mission is to use technology to equip the church to grow in the light of the Bible. We’re excited to collaborate with South University to provide students with the tools they need to study, learn, and grow,” said Logos CEO Bob Pritchett. “We’re honored to work with innovative schools like South University who are committed to increasing access to, and lowering the cost of, quality theological education.”
