(Nashville, Tenn.) January 22, 2016 – Shauna Niequist’s first devotional with Zondervan Gift, a division of HarperCollins Christian Publishing, Savor: Living Abundantly Where You Are, As You Are, has sold more than 100,000 copies since its release March 10, 2015. A follow-up to her popular trade books Bread & WineCold Tangerines and BittersweetSavor encourages readers to slow down, simplify, and invest time in what really matters: relationships with God, friends and family.

The devotional was an immediate hit with Niequist’s loyal readers and followers on social media, most noting that it made them feel as though they were hearing from a girlfriend going through the same day-to-day issues they were. Influencer copies to her many influential friends in the entertainment and publishing world yielded endorsements from Ann Voskamp, Natalie Grant, Donald Miller, Beth Moore, Jen Hatmaker, Rachel Held Evans, and many others.

“To surpass 100,000 units in sales less than a year from release is remarkable,” said Laura Minchew, Senior Vice President and Publisher for Gift Books, Tommy Nelson Children’s Books, and New Media at Thomas Nelson. “It is a testament to the powerful relationship Shauna has nurtured with her readers through her own vulnerability and passion to live abundantly where you are, as you are. We are grateful for Shauna’s very hard work to get the word out about the book and are thrilled that people have embraced this message in a devotional format.”

Throughout the promotional campaign for the book, Niequist appeared on American and Canadian TV programs, was reviewed in Christian and secular print media, and was interviewed by countless local and national radio stations. Many faith-focused and lifestyle blogs also reviewed the devotional and offered giveaways.

Shauna’s next book, Present over Perfect, is a trade book from Zondervan, and releases Aug. 9, 2016.
