PubU Online kicks off this morning with challenging keynote on the responsibility of publishing to confront injustice

Dr. Theon Hill opened the PubU Online program this morning with his address on the responsibility of Christian publishing in this moment of racial unrest.  Dr. Hill unpacked three areas:  (1) Diagnosing the situation in which we find ourselves; (2) How this moment intersects with past and current efforts; and (3) The responsibility of Christian publishing to consciously confront injustice in all its forms – through substantive changes at many levels — as a commitment to biblical living.  Dr. Hill is the associate professor of communication at Wheaton College and director of the upcoming Center for Faith, Race, and Ethnicity.  He is also moderating four panelist sessions in the PubU Online Diversity & Inclusion track, starting tomorrow. PubU Online is a series of webinars held Mon-Thurs until October 1st.  Session recordings are available to those who register. The rest of this week’s live sessions held at 10 am central, are:

  • TUES: Historical Perspectives on Diversity & Inclusion
  • WED: Christian Market Report–Listening to Data
  • THUR: Supply Chain Update on Paper & Manufacturing

It’s not too late to register for an all access pass.
