(Grand Rapids, MI)—Continuing the 50th-anniversary celebration this week, theNIVBible.com won the Best Faith-based Website award in the 2015 Internet Advertising Competition (IAC). As a recipient of the award, developed by the Web Marketing Association, the website was recognized for its outstanding achievement in internet marketing.

Working with Chicago-based Verve Marketing Group, Zondervan refreshed the old NIV website to reflect the translation’s year-long campaign celebrating its heritage, history, and impact on the modern day Christian movement. TheNIVBible.com hosts free resources for general Bible readers, scholars, pastors, and Bible retailers, and provides historical content, translation philosophy, free videos, reference materials and much more.

This year, the website will follow the 50th anniversary’s four major campaigns—Made to Read; Made to Study; Made to Share; Made for You—and will feature key people, groups, and historic milestones that have helped the NIV become the world’s most-read English-language Bible translation and the number one selling translation in the U.S. The Made to Study campaign released on April 1 with new relevant resources available on the website.

“Being recognized by the Web Marketing Association as having the best faith-based website in 2015 is truly indicative of the impact we want the NIV’s website to have on its visitors,” said Jerri Helms, senior director for Bible digital marketing for Zondervan. “Verve Marketing Group was able to take our vision and create a cross-functional resource that told the NIV’s story in the most innovative way.”

According to its website, “The IAC Awards provides an opportunity to highlight the best online advertising in 96 industries and nine online formats including online ad, video, mobile, newsletter, email and social media.”  This is the first time that theNIVBible.com website has been recognized for an award.
