2005 Christian Musician Summit Proves To Be A Record-Breaking Event
December 5, 2005
Puyallup, WA  (December 5, 2005) &ndash  One of America&rsquos largest conferences for worship leaders and musicians, the Third Annual Christian Musician Summit more than doubled all of its previous records for attendance and exhibitor space.

Held November 11th and 12th at Overlake Christian Church, the largest church facility in the state of Washington, this year&rsquos event sold out three days prior with just under 3000 paid registrants and 80 exhibitors including vendors of musical equipment, software, musician accessories, and record labels.  The Saturday night concert featured the &ldquoIndescribable Tour&rdquo with Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman and Louie Giglio, and sold out tickets to the public as well, with a total attendance of nearly 5000.

"This year’s Summit exceeded our expectations.  We were literally blown away by the response we received, says Matt Kees, Director of the Summit.   &ldquoWe credit that to our Sovereign God, who knew exactly what He was doing. If God can speak through the mouth of a donkey, He can certainly use a couple musicians who have a passion for equipping God’s people for excellent worship and musicianship. What’s even more amazing than all of the people, artists and cool equipment are the stories we’re hearing from folks who attended. This event was life changing for many who are in the trenches doing ministry on a daily basis. It has been awesome to see the ripple effect and how people are taking their inspiration and encouragement from the Summit back to their homes across the country&hellip and the world, for that matter."

At the Summit, co-founders Bruce Adolph and Matt Kees announced two new events for 2006.  The Summit Primer is a one day conference geared for youth worship bands and beginning adult musicians.  This event will be held April 1st at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Tacoma, Washington.   The Songwriter&rsquos Boot Camp is a one-day seminar on November 9, 2006 with limited enrollment held the day before the Christian Musician Summit 2006.  Instructors for the seminar will be top songwriters and A&R personnel from the Christian music industry, with each instructor overseeing a group of 10 participants.

&ldquoIt’s simply amazing to me to witness what has happened with the Summit and to look from this vantage point and try to imagine what the Lord has in mind for 2006 with the Summit itself, the new Summit Primer and the Songwriter’s Boot Camp. These are truly exciting times,&rdquo states Bruce Adolph, co-founder of the Christian Musician Summit and publisher of Christian Musician and Worship Musician magazines.

Here is what vendors and attendees have to say about their Summit experience:
&ldquoYear after year, the Christian Musician Summit has proven to be one of the most rewarding and beneficial conferences for Yamaha Corporation of America.  No other single event has allowed us to impact and resource this many of the church&rsquos musicians and technicians in an atmosphere of ministry and partnership.  Thanks to Worship Musician and Christian Musician magazines for facilitating this monumental event&rdquo   ~ Mike Overlin, Yamaha

&ldquoThis was the best conference that a worship leader, musician and tech could have come to.  What an array of performing artists, speakers and teachers in one place!  It&rsquos an amazing event and it has grown way bigger than anyone expected.  Where are they going to hold it next year?  Where do the Sonics play&hellip?  ~  Doug Gould, Shure Microphones

&ldquoThe 2005 Christian Musician Summit was an amazing event with a huge attendance of musicians and music pastors for the classes, exhibits and the worship events.  It was an overwhelmingly great success and awesome vibe for our company to participate in.&rdquo  ~  Loren Molinare, Aviom, Inc.

"I’ve been involved with the Christian Musician Summit with Bruce Adolph for many years now and I find that each time it’s a better experience than the year previous. What a good time! The summit has provided ample encouragement to guitar players, and all musicians alike, to grow and be the best they can be in our field of music and ministry.  It continues to grow and reach out to many musicians as we have just seen in the recent northwest Summit."         ~ Phil Keaggy, critically acclaimed artist/guitar player

&ldquoThere were SO many very high quality presenters, talent, and top names in Worship today. That really brings credibility and a plethora of networking opportunities and learning experiences that I knew I was getting from THE people in the know….not just folks in the periphery.  The energy was great and it was so clear that the Spirit was moving&mdashwhat more can you ask for? I also LOVED being able to get recordings of classes I couldn’t attend.&rdquo    ~ from a Summit attendee

The 2006 Christian Musician Summit will be held November 10 – 11 at the Overland Christian Church in Redmond, Washington with the Songwriter&rsquos Boot Camp on November 9th.   The Summit Primerwill be held April 1st at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Tacoma, Washington.  Registration is now open for all three events with special early bird rates through January 16th.

Founded in 2003 by Worship Musician magazine, Christian Musician magazine and the Puget Sound Worship Leader Network, the Christian Musician Summit has more than doubled in size each year.  One of the largest events of its kind, the Summit is unique in that it crosses all corporate and church barriers.  It is not affiliated with any specific record label, genre or church movement which enables the founders to draw from a wide variety of artists and teachers, ranging from old-school veterans to cutting edge innovators.  Featured presenters and performers for the 2005 event included Paul Baloche, Chris Tomlin, Abe Laboriel, Phil Keaggy, Vinny Colaiuta, Lincoln Brewster, Vicky Beeching, Rick Cua, Scott Wesley Brown, Norm Stockton, Louie Giglio, and Michael Gungor to name just a few.  Sponsors of this year&rsquos event included World Vision, Integrity/Vertical Music, CCI Solutions, EasyWorship, Cider Mountain Recorders, and SLS Audio which provided the actual sound system from the set of Mark Burnett’s ‘Rock Star: INXS’ Reality Show.
