Logos Bible Software announces new partnership with Episcopal Church’s official publisher
Bellingham, Wash., April 11, 2014 — Logos Bible Software announced a new partnership with Church Publishing Inc. — the Episcopal Church’s official publisher of liturgical and worship resources. Nineteen titles, including key resources like the Conversations with Scripture Series and the Welcome to the Episcopal Church Series, are now available for pre-order, with about 300 more resources on the way.
“This is a big step forward in bringing digital Episcopal resources to a global market,” said Davis Perkins, publisher at Church Publishing. “This partnership extends the reach of our resources in significant and exciting ways. By working with Logos, we’re combining some of the best Episcopal resources with the best Bible study tools, and making them available to people all over the world.”
Church Publishing has printed Christian resources since 1918, with imprints including Morehouse Publishing and Seabury Books. In 1997, they were recognized as the official publisher for the General Convention of the Episcopal Church in the United States.
“We are excited to partner with Church Publishing to make these key resources available,” said Bob Pritchett, Logos’ president and CEO. “They are a perfect complement to our library of resources from the Anglican tradition, and will be useful to scholars, teachers and students of the Bible.” Last month, Logos also released a new line of Anglican base packages, with libraries specifically designed for the Anglican tradition.
Each Church Publishing resource will be available through Logos Pre-Publication — a special discount program that allows customers to pre-order new digital resources at a low price. Once enough copies have been pre-ordered to cover costs, Logos begins the process of transforming the print resource into a fully searchable and easy-to-use digital book.
Unlike print editions, Logos resources are tagged and hyperlinked, connecting them to an entire digital library with unique sets of biblical information created by in-house scholars. Logos editions save hundreds of hours of research time, easily connect readers to other relevant resources and link to new sources of information for deeper study, like rich maps, timelines and family trees.
Logos has been creating world-class Bible software for more than 20 years. It has almost 2 million users in more than 210 countries, and partners with more than 200 publishers to provide the best content from the scholarly world. Logos’ in-house biblical-language and theological scholars do original research and consult on software development.
