For the first time, Christian resources enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of digital readers will be available wherever books are sold through a new partnership between Lexham Press, publishing imprint of Faithlife Corporation (the makers of Logos Bible Software), and Anchor Distributors.
Jesse Myers, Lexham’s marketing manager, says the partnership is unique to the Christian publishing industry: “While Lexham has a direct relationship with millions of Logos users, we’re relatively new to the print publishing space. Anchor, meanwhile, has an extensive and mature trade and retail print distribution network. This agreement will allow both partners to play to our strengths.”
Most publishers find themselves adapting to the digital landscape, but Brannon Ellis, Lexham’s associate publisher of editorial explains, “Lexham was born digital, and we’re now using what we’ve learned to branch out into print. We believe there’s huge potential for innovation here, but it’s the opposite of what the industry is used to—it wasn’t easy to find the right partner.”
Anchor Distributors, the distribution arm of Whitaker Corporation, with over 45 years experience in the Christian publishing industry, is a good fit according to John Whitaker, vice president of Anchor Distributors.
“We’re excited to partner with Lexham Press,” Whitaker said. “Everyone recognizes that the name Logos Bible Software is synonymous with the finest, technological Bible study resources available; we’re honored to bring these resources to the market in print form.”
In the partnership, Lexham will continue to cultivate relationships with digital readers and academic partners, while Anchor will house, distribute and market Lexham print titles for trade and retail channels.
“Anchor has unique strengths that make them a great partner for Lexham,” Myers said. “Their impressive warehousing and distribution capabilities and existing relationships with the Christian retail are second to none.”
Whitaker added that both consumers and retailers will benefit from Anchor’s capacity to respond quickly, utilizing Bethany Press’ print-on-demand facility located in the Anchor warehouse.
Lexham titles will begin appearing in Anchor mailings immediately and will soon be available through Christian retailers.
