Charlottesville, VA and London, U.K. (April 21, 2016) —INTERQUEST, a leading market and technology research and consulting firm serving the digital printing and publishing industry, today announced that the 2016 London Digital Book Printing Forum will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Portland Place, in London. The Forum, which has been held each year in London since 2010, is a full-day educational event that focuses on key trends in the book market, the evolution of book manufacturing, and the use of digital printing to produce books.

This year the event will focus on the following key areas: international perspectives, drawing from recent INTERQUEST landmark studies on the book market and digital printing in Europe and North America, and from leading international book printers and publishers presenting at the event; the impact of drupa’s 2016 developments and announcements on the book publishing market; progress made in the streamlining of the supply chain; new business models and opportunities generated by innovation and market and technology developments; as well as the views of medium/small publishers on the use and evolution of digital printing.

According to Gilles Biscos, President of INTERQUEST, “We have been very pleased by the growth of our London event in the past two years and we look forward to the 2016 edition. It will take place three weeks after drupa, and will be a great opportunity to discuss how the evolution of technology may accelerate the adoption of digital printing in the various book sectors and applications. Also, attendees will have a chance to hear from leading U.K. and international players and innovators about initiatives to reduce cost, increase efficiencies, and generate new business and revenue.”

The 2016 London Digital Book Printing Forum is sponsored by leading players in the market, including Canon, CPI, Crown Van Gelder (CVG), Hunkeler, Intelligent Finishing Systems (IFS), KBA, Marquis Book Printing, Ricoh, Tecnau, and Xerox. It is supported by The Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP), The British Association for Print and Communication (BAPC), The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA), The European Publishers Council (EPC), The Federation of European Publishers (FEP), The Independent Publisher Guild (IPG), and The International Association of STM Publishers (STM).
