ECPA's Rush To PressIndustry design community to host session on “The Art of Lying” at PUBu

Kirk DouPonceKirk DouPonce, Owner of DogEared Design, has designed over a thousand book covers, learning a few tricks along the way that he’ll be sharing at PUBu. In the session “The Art of Lying: Practical photo illustration techniques,” Kirk will walk through the creation of both simple and complex photo illustrations, showing how creating imagery in today’s digital age is limited only by imagination. Kirk’s session will be part of a robust program of four sessions geared for the industry’s design professional featuring: Torrey Sharp and Jeff Miller of Faceout Studios, Philip Black with Avenue, Inc., Josh Dennis at Crossway, Isaac Tobin from Univ. of Chicago Press, and independent designer Abby Weintraub. The track will finish with the announcement of the Top Shelf Book Cover Award winners.
PUBu will gather Christian publishing professionals in five communities, offering 20 sessions in 24 hours in DESIGN, MARKETING, PRODUCTION, EDITORIAL and RIGHTS.
