Publishing Veteran Shanon Stowe to Join Entertainment PR Firm

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 28, 2014) – Icon Media Group announces Shanon Stowe will join the firm as Partner and will serve as President of the company’s literary division. Stowe, formerly Director of Publicity at Hachette Book Group, will join the Nashville-based PR firm on March 31st, bringing 15 years publicity experience from the book industry to the entertainment and literary-focused firm.

“Shanon’s arrival marks an exciting time for Icon. Our growth in 2014 has compelled us to bring in a seasoned veteran to champion media efforts for our publishing clients,” said Icon CEO Jennifer Willingham.

During her five and a half years with Hachette, Stowe worked on more than 200 book releases, launched more than 30 New York Times bestsellers and orchestrated national media campaigns and book tours for authors including Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, Bill Cosby, Nelson DeMille, Michael Bolton and Paul Young among many others. Prior to joining the company, Stowe held book publicity roles with Thomas Nelson and the children’s publisher Tommy Nelson in addition to co-owning a public relations firm.
