Nashville, Tenn. (Aug. 17, 2015) – She Reads Truth, an online community of women committed to reading the Bible daily, announced the highly anticipated counterpart for men: He Reads Truth. To fulfill their mission of men in the Word of God every day, He Reads Truth provides scripture-reading tools, including the He Reads Truth App, available free on the Apple App Store.

Britton Sharp, Director of He Reads Truth, worked in campus ministry for sixteen years, most recently as director of CRU at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville).

Says Sharp, “I am humbled and honored to be part of the creation and launch of He Reads Truth. We believe when men experience the transforming power of God in Scripture it will impact their families, churches, and communities too.”

Raechel Myers, co-founder and CEO of She Reads Truth comments, “He Reads Truth has been a long time coming, but it feels like it’s right on time. We’re excited to follow the Lord’s leading and begin to see whole households reading God’s Word daily.”

The simple but powerful mission for She Reads Truth–women in the Word of God every day–is also coupled with its strong sense of design. He Reads Truth follows suit, providing men with an appealing space to engage God’s Word.

He Reads Truth provides resources for men so they can read individually, in groups, or in tandem with the community of women at She Reads Truth. Sharp will work closely with Myers and She Reads Truth CCO, Amanda Bible Williams, to equip men and women for daily Bible reading.

With more than 400,000 downloads of the She Reads Truth app since its summer 2014 release, He Reads Truth anticipates a similarly strong response to its proprietary app.

The He Reads Truth app, currently for devices running on iOS 7.1 or higher, includes several popular Bible translations. In addition to full Bible text, app users will have access to supplemental tools and interactive resources, providing the option of an individual or community experience. Many of the tools will also be available via email subscription.
