in Internet Advertising Competition Awards

Web Marketing Association recognizes two HarperCollins Christian Publishing product websites as industry leaders in innovation

(Nashville, TN) April 4, 2014 – For the second year in a row, a HarperCollins Christian Publishing website has won Best Faith-based website in the 2016 Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards.  This competition, developed by the Web Marketing Association, recognizes and honors organizations that they deem “responsible for the best in Internet marketing.”  In 2015, website was recognized for this award, a site powered by Zondervan. 

As a collaborative effort from Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Bible teams, launched in December 2015 as a resource for consumers to explore all Bible apps – study, devotional, text, and children’s – on one shared platform. Visitors can find apps for their preferred translation, sample audio Bibles, and discover new author-focused study Bibles. With a comprehensive offering of Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Bible apps, the website reaches all ages and demographics—from Bible scholar to moms-on-the-go—users can read the NIV, NKJV, or KJV Study translations, teen Bibles, and even devotional Bibles. Also featuring the Bible Gateway and Olive Tree apps, consumers can purchase these apps through the App Store or Google Play. will continue to host additional Bible apps as they are released.

In addition, was named the 2016 Best Publishing website.  Working with Chicago-based Verve Marketing Group, the Zondervan website gives an overview of the NIV Zondervan Study Bible, spearheaded by general editor and The Gospel Coalition co-founder, D.A. Carson.  The website supports this Study Bible’s goal of “unpacking God’s story,” by showcasing videos, highlighting endorsements, featuring Carson’s podcasts on biblical theology, introducing the leading team of scholars who contributed to its concept, and more.   Last year, the Verve Marketing Group designed the award-winning website for Zondervan. 

The IAC awards were formed in 1999 by the Web Marketing Association to honor outstanding online advertising.  According to its website, “The IAC Awards provides an opportunity to highlight the best online advertising in 96 industries and nine online formats including online ad, video, mobile, newsletter, email and social media.”
