HarperCollins Christian Publishing Names Molly Hodgin
as Associate Publisher of the Specialty Publishing Division

(Nashville, Tenn.) October 19, 2016 – HarperCollins Christian Publishing announced today the promotion of Molly Hodgin to associate publisher for its Specialty Publishing division. Hodgin joined Thomas Nelson in June 2010 as editorial director.

Hodgin currently manages the Zondervan Gift division, where she works to publish gift books and devotionals. Some of her recent releases include Savor by Shauna Niequist, The Case for Hope and Today’s Moment of Truth by Lee Strobel, Forever My Little Boy and Forever My Little Girl by Karen Kingsbury, and Pressing Pause by Karen Ehman and Ruth Schwenk. Hodgin has acquired new authors such as Ashlee Gadd of Coffee and Crumbsand Grace Thornton of Grace for the Road, and developed proprietary lines including the Coloring Faith adult coloring books.

In addition, Hodgin oversees the New Media division, which includes DVD-movie and television series partnership distribution into the Christian market as well as interactive apps based on gift and children’s books. One example is the Jesus Calling app, which has been the No. 1 bestselling paid book app in iTunes over the last five years, and is currently the No. 7 top grossing book app in iTunes across all categories.

Before joining Thomas Nelson, Hodgin worked in New York for Penguin Young Readers Group and Scholastic. She specialized in licensed publishing, developing and executing publishing plans for brands such as Star Wars®, Strawberry Shortcake®, Chuggington®, Pokemon®, Barbie®, and many more. She also specialized in middle grade fiction series for the mass market. Hodgin graduated cum laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s in Communications and Creative Writing and has written over 50 children’s books under various pen names.
