HarperCollins Christian Publishing extends low-cost
outreach Bible partnership with Biblica

(Nashville, TN) July 21, 2016—HarperCollins Christian Publishing (HCCP) today announced it will assume direct and trade sales of Biblica’s foreign-language Bible translations.  This is an extension of the agreement announced in October 2014 when the two companies released that HCCP would absorb the direct and trade sales of NIV, NIrV and NVI low-cost outreach Bible lines.

HCCP will assume responsibility for sales and distribution of the existing foreign translations through its outreach Bible line.  The two companies will immediately begin working through a transitional plan with a full integration goal for the late summer.

“Twenty months ago, HCCP entered into an agreement to partner with Biblica to sell their outreach Bibles,” said Doug Lockhart, senior v-p of Bible marketing and outreach.  “This extension allows both companies to really complete the agreement’s original intention—to allow Biblica to focus on enriching lives around the world with God’s Word in the top spoken languages, and allow HCCP to provide expertise in sales and distribution.  The outreach Bible lines are predominantly sold to ministries and churches that have foreign-language outreach.  HCCP provides excellent e-retailer resources, great direct-to-consumer channels and well-established church and ministry relationships to continue the great mission Biblica set out to accomplish.”
