Francine Rivers Keynote Speaker at Recent Tyndale Fiction
Event at Prestonwood Baptist Church

Carol Stream, Ill.—September 22, 2015—The Tyndale House Publishers fiction team (@crazy4fiction and hosted Transformed Through Story: An Evening with Francine Rivers and Friends this past Friday night at Prestonwood Baptist Church in suburban Dallas, bringing popular Christian fiction authors right to their readers. Headlining the event was Francine Rivers, author of numerous bestselling novels including Redeeming Love and A Voice in the Wind, who spoke about her writing life and inspiration for her stories, among other topics. Seven other Tyndale House Fiction authors—Candace Calvert, Janice Cantore, Eva Marie Everson, Pam Hillman, DiAnn Mills, Allison Pittman, and Courtney Walsh—also shared about their books and how they hoped their stories might transform readers’ lives. The program was followed by a book signing and dessert meet-and-greet between authors and fans.

“Fans who came to hear and meet Francine received that opportunity and so much more!” says Karen Watson, Associate Publisher for Tyndale House Fiction, who emceed the event. “Woman after woman said how much they appreciated the chance to get acquainted with and add great new authors to their ‘must read’ list.  We couldn’t ask for a better result than that. Many thanks to the staff at Prestonwood who made this a night to remember for our authors and fiction fans.”

Rivers joined many other Christian fiction authors in Dallas Thursday through Sunday at the annual American Christian Fiction Writers conference, where she was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the organization, providing Tyndale House Fiction with the perfect opportunity to partner with Prestonwood, one of the country’s largest churches.

The event exceeded every expectation, with over 700 in attendance. Cheryl Kerwin, Senior Marketing Manager for Tyndale House Fiction, says, “I was almost moved to tears sitting on stage and listening to our authors share their hearts. Everyone seemed to be genuinely impacted by what the authors were saying, and several women even thanked me and gave me hugs after the event!”

Those in attendance had a chance to win a variety of prizes throughout the evening, including books, gift cards, and gift baskets put together by the authors, with the Grand Prize—a Kindle Fire loaded with books from the participating authors—awarded at the conclusion of the evening.
