(Nashville, TN) HarperCollins Christian Publishing is pleased to announce that the following Thomas Nelson and Zondervan novelists have been named finalists in the 15th Annual Christy Awards:

  • “Rosemary Cottage” by Colleen Coble (Thomas Nelson) in Contemporary Romance/Suspense
  • “Once Upon a Prince” by Rachel Hauck (Zondervan) in Contemporary Romance/Suspense
  • “Stones for Bread” by Christa Parrish (Thomas Nelson) in Contemporary Fiction
  • “Dear Mr. Knightley” by Katherine Reay (Thomas Nelson) in First Novel

“The Christy Awards are widely considered the most prestigious industry awards exclusively recognizing fiction written from a Christian worldview,” said Daisy Hutton, vice president and publisher for Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Fiction. “We are thrilled to see these four beautiful books honored, and we celebrate the tremendous work that Colleen, Rachel, Katherine, and Christa pour into their writing and into their relationships with readers.”

The Christy Awards were formed in spring of 1999, named to honor author Catherine Marshall and her bestselling novel, “Christy.” According to their website, The Christy Awards are designed to, “bring a new awareness of the breadth and depth of fiction choices available, helping to broaden the readership.” A panel of judges – comprised of qualified readers – select finalists and winners in nine different categories while also selecting an overall Christy Book of the Year.

The 2014 winners will be named at the Fifteenth Annual Christy Awards Dinner on Monday, June 23, 2014, during the International Christian Retail Show in Atlanta.
