FrontGate Moving Pictures is pleased to share the new music video for “You Raise Me Up,” performed by Steph Carse with special guest Melodie Joy, a two-time Latin Grammy nominee.
Filmed in Orlando, the video brings together an intimate studio performance with cinematic imagery inspired by the message of the song—a reminder of the strength we find through faith and through the people God places in our lives.
A Friendship Through Music
“You Raise Me Up” marks the third song Steph and Melodie have recorded together, and that history comes through naturally in their performance.
Melodie is not only an extraordinary vocalist, but also a woman of deep faith. She and her family have walked through some very difficult seasons over the years, experiences that have given songs about hope, perseverance, and trusting God an especially personal meaning.
For Steph, that made Melodie a natural choice for this song.
The music video was produced and edited by Steph, while the track was co-produced by Steph alongside his longtime worship leader, producer, and Grammy winner Omar Maldonado. The vocal performances were filmed with the Orlando Production team, with additional scenes shot in Orlando to help bring the story to life visually.
Bringing the Message to the Screen
Rather than simply filming two singers performing a familiar song, Steph wanted the video to reflect what “You Raise Me Up” has meant to so many people over the years.
The studio scenes capture the friendship and musical connection between Steph and Melodie, while the cinematic sequences expand on the song’s themes of encouragement, faith, strength, and hope.
At its heart, the video is simple: we all experience moments when we need someone to help us rise again. Sometimes that strength comes through the people beside us. And ultimately, for Steph and Melodie, it comes through their faith in God.
Watch “You Raise Me Up”
We hope you’ll take a few minutes to watch Steph Carse ft. Melodie Joy — “You Raise Me Up.” More than anything, we hope the song encourages someone who may need to hear its message today.
