Emmy Award Winning News Anchor Kelly Wright
Receives Lifetime Global Achievement Award
From Oral Roberts University

Tulsa, Oklahoma – November 5, 2015 – Emmy award winner Kelly Wright recently received a Lifetime Global Achievement Award from Oral Roberts University at their 50-year anniversary celebration. The event was themed “to the uttermost bounds of the Earth,” a quote from founder Oral Roberts that expresses his vision for the school: that its graduates, working in many professions, would carry the Christian message around the globe. The honorees included a presidential candidate, an Olympic silver medalist, best-selling authors, journalists, missionaries, business leaders and politicians.

Kelly was honored along with such notable alumni as Kathie Lee Gifford, a television host, singer, songwriter, comedian, and actress; Andretti Bain, an Olympic silver medalist; and Stephen Mansfield, author of “The Faith of George W. Bush,” “The Faith of Barack Obama” and 22 other books, including three New York Times best sellers. 

Kelly Wright is an anchor reporter for Fox News Channel (FNC), based in the New York, Headquarters, as well as anchor on “America’s News Headquarters” on Saturdays (4:00 – 5:00 PM/ET). Kelly previously served as a co-host on “Fox & Friends Weekend.” Most recently, Kelly was inducted into the Martin Luther King, Jr. Board of Sponsors at Morehouse College for his “Beyond the Dream” series. For this series, he also recently interviewed Denzel Washington.  In April 2007, he secured an exclusive sit-down with first lady Laura Bush where she responded to the Virginia Tech massacres, Katrina recovery and the President’s final term. Kelly is also an author, singer, speaker and television host.
