ECPA releases June Bestseller Lists

For the second consecutive month, Bob Goff’s Everybody, Always (Thomas Nelson) is the #1 book in ECPA’s Top 50 bestsellers list, based on POS sales compiled by NPD BookScan in May. The next two titles in the Top 50, Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis (Thomas Nelson) and The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman (Moody Publishers), swapped places from last month’s list. Coming in at #4 is Jesus Always by Sarah Young (Thomas Nelson), the ECPA 2018 Christian Book of the Year®.

The Top 50 bestsellers list includes 10 new releases—7 nonfiction and 3 fiction titles. Through My Father’s Eyes by Franklin Graham (Thomas Nelson) holds the highest position at #8. While there have been many books written about Billy Graham the evangelist, this is the first book about Billy Graham the father, written by a son who knew him best.

Several of the other new releases in the Top 50 point to something Billy Graham preached about, and which our culture is longing for: Hope. At #10, Unexpected by Christine Caine (Zondervan) encourages readers to “leave fear behind” and “move forward in faith.” Debuting at #20 is Shake Free by Samuel Rodriquez (WaterBrook), offering a way to deal with “storms, shipwrecks, and snakes.”

Similarly, “never give up hope” is the message of Jonathan Cain’s memoir, Don’t Stop Believing (Zondervan), coming in at #24. Cain is the songwriter and keyboardist for Journey, one of the most popular rock bands of all time, due in no small part to the iconic anthem of hope—the most downloaded song of all time—that serves as the title of his memoir.

In the Top 25 Fiction bestsellers list, The Road Home by Beverly Lewis (Bethany House) comes in at #1, followed by The Masterpiece by Francine Rivers (Tyndale House). Right behind at #3 is Ted Dekker’s latest, The 49th Mystic(Revell/Baker). Dekker is a New York Times bestselling author with more than 40 novels to his credit. Following at #4 and #5 are two books by Beth Wiseman, An Amish Table and An Amish Cradle (Zondervan), with Charles Martin’s latest, Send Down the Rain (Thomas Nelson) at #6. Both Francine Rivers and Charles Martin will be featured speakers at The Christy Award™ celebration on November 7 at Lipscomb University in Nashville.

There are no surprises in the Top 25 Juvenile bestsellers list. Once again The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones (Zonderkidz) comes in at #1, followed by The Beginner’s Bible (Zonderkidz) and Touch and Feel: Never Touch a Dinosaur by Make Believe Ideas Ltd (Thomas Nelson).

Finally, June is the second month for a new feature in the ECPA bestselling lists: the Top 50 Spanish bestselling books and the Top 25 Spanish Bibles. Congratulations to Barbour Publishing for having the #1 Spanish book and the #1 Spanish Bible
