Dr. Frank Turek from CrossExamined.org to Speak at the 8th Annual Reclaiming America for Christ Conference

Local Conference Strives to Teach Christians History Lessons And How to Protect God-Given Rights for Future Generations

Charlotte, NC – Dr. Frank Turek, Executive Director of CrossExamined.org has been honored as a featured speaker at the 8th Annual Reclaiming America for Christ Conference beginning Friday night, July 25 from 6:30 pm to 10 pm and concluding Saturday morning, July 26, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.  The First Baptist Church of Moore, OK will be the host venue.  Admission to the conference is free.

Reclaiming America for Christ is dedicated to restoring the principles upon which America was founded.  This year’s conference will focus on Christian apologetics and Biblical worldview.

Turek, author of I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist as well as host of a TV and radio show of the same name, will be discussing the topics “Intellectual Predators: How Professors Prey on Christian Students” and “Correct, Not Politically Correct:  How Same Sex Marriage Hurts Everyone.”

Joining Turek in the event will be Del Tackett, host of Focus on the Family’s “The Truth Project”, American historian Brian McClanahan, local pastor and State Representative Dan Fisher, Pastor Kevin Clarkson and Pastor Paul Blair.

“Most Christians today don’t really know why they believe what they claim to believe,” said Reclaiming America for Christ Director Paul Blair.  “If we really believed what we claimed we believe, then shouldn’t it be evident in the way we live our lives?”

Discussion during the two day event will include the importance of maintaining a Biblical worldview, preparing Christian students to face atheist college professors, Biblical principles of American civil government, the case for natural marriage and the design and purpose of Federalism in America.

“Most Christians in America don’t realize why we have enjoyed religious liberty for the past 200 years.  It was not by accident, it was by design.  If not for the Biblical foundation laid by the Pilgrims, we would be no different than any other kingdom or autocracy,” said Blair.

A private luncheon for pastors and spouses will be held from 11:30 to 1:30 on Friday, July 25, also at First Baptist Church in Moore.  In addition to Tackett and Turek, William Lane Craig of Reasonable Faith and Everett Piper, President of Oklahoma Wesleyan University will address the lunchtime audience.  The pastor’s luncheon will be co-hosted by Steve Green, President of Hobby Lobby.  Lunch is free, but pastors must RSVP to attend.
