Colorado Springs, Colo., December 4, 2015 – David C Cook is pleased to announce the acquisition of Standard Publishing’s Bible lesson commentary series, Sunday school curriculum and other church resources.

Standard Publishing traces its roots back to The Christian Standard, a periodical that was first published in 1866. In the decades since then, Standard has created magazines, devotionals, commentaries, small-group guides and Sunday school curriculum for all ages.

Much like Standard, David C Cook has been serving the Church for generations. Since David Caleb Cook founded the organization in 1875, David C Cook has reached millions of adults and children with books, curriculum, worship music and other disciple-shaping resources.

As David C Cook CEO Cris Doornbos says, “Both David C Cook and Standard were pioneers in Sunday school curriculum over a century ago. It’s exciting to see the two organizations come together generations later with the same values and Bible-focused materials that they had at the beginning.”

David C Cook, as a nonprofit organization with international reach, is committed to furthering Standard Publishing’s mission to provide “true-to-the-Bible resources that inspire, educate and motivate people to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.”
