ECPA's Rush To PressCHRISTIAN BOOK SERVICES LAUNCHES NEW IMPRINT:
FIRST BOOK FROM CLOVERCROFT PUBLISHING HITS AMAZON BESTSELLER LIST

FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE- April 23, 2014– Christian Book Services, LLC, announced today that they are launching a new imprint called Clovercroft Publishing. Formed by industry veteran, Larry Carpenter, Christian Book Services launched their first imprint, Carpenter’s Son Publishing, in May of 2010 after Carpenter stepped down as President of Standard Publishing. The publishing company has grown rapidly, publishing books by bestselling authors including Neal Boortz, Gary Smalley and Tony Jeary. The company published over 100 books in 2013.

The company’s business strategy is to publish only books from Christian authors. As Carpenter says, “The corporate name is kind of a dead giveaway!” However, the popularity of the company’s publishing efforts has led to the publishing of several books that are by Christian authors, but are not overtly Christian in their content. For example, in the last year, the company has published books on health and fitness, business, finance, leadership and other general topics.

Therefore, Carpenter made the decision to launch a line that is focused on general topics from Christian authors. The new imprint is to be called Clovercroft Publishing. In another major change, while the Carpenter’s Son Publishing line will continue to use Send the Light Distribution as their contract distributor, Carpenter has signed a distribution agreement with Ingram to serve as the contract distributor for Clovercroft Publishing. Both lines will continue to be carried by all of the wholesale distributors, but the primary warehousing and sales will be handled by the respective contract distributor.

Clovercroft Publishing will launch twelve new books through Ingram this summer and fall. The company’s lead title will be Unbreakable by Thom Shea. Thom Shea is a twenty three year veteran of the Navy SEALs. He won the Silver Star and Bronze Star medals during his multiple deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. As the head of the Navy SEAL sniper school, Thom had the distinction of training the “Lone Survivor”, the “American Sniper”, Seal Team 6 that took down Osama bin Laden and the sniper team that rescued Captain Phillips. Unbreakable: A Navy SEAL’s Way of Life, began as a series of letters Thom wrote to his children in the event he didn’t return from his missions. Over several years, he added advice on life based on his SEAL training. Obviously, Thom made it back. He retired from active duty in December, 2013, and now runs a consulting service called Adamantine Alliance. He is already booked for over a hundred corporate training courses. The advice in the book can be used to benefit companies in their business strategies, but can also be used by individuals in their daily life.

The book will be published on May 26th, timed to come out for Memorial Day. However, based on preorders, Unbreakable has already hit the bestseller list for Amazon. It is currently in the top 25 books on the Business/Memoirs, Motivation/Self-Improvement, and Business and Money category lists.

According to Carpenter, “We are thrilled to be able to continue the growth of our company by moving in to this new area of Christian publishing. We thank STL for enabling us to grow and look forward to a long relationship with them in the distribution of our Christian-themed books. And we look forward to working with Ingram to make our general topic books, such as Unbreakable, a big success.”
