It can be difficult for worship artists to replicate the energy found in their congregations on Sunday mornings, but when the right melodies and artists collide, it just might work. That’s the case with the beautiful new album from Highlands Worship, which was recently released by Church of the Highlands.

Highlands Worship is the musical band at the church, which is based out of Birmingham, AL, and which hosts fourteen campuses and average attendances of over forty thousand. There are over 500 members on their worship teams, and as a living, active, modern day church they are righfully and naturally committed to unique, high-quality music for their internal use and also to provide to other church bodies. Their first studio project features twelve vertical, original songs, and also one modern version of a classic hymn. The album officially released on July 29 in tandem with the Motion Conference.

“We have followed the ministry of Church of the Highlands for several years and have been encouraged in their dedication to write not only incredible music for their own church, but for the church and culture at large.” said Scott A. Shuford, Chief Engagement Officer of FrontGate.  “Highlands Worship has a fresh, contemporary and unique sound that is different from much of the worship market.”
