Disney’s Night of Joy is one of Christian Music’s biggest annual events, and BlueScout Media’s StageHop.com, a FrontGate Media partner, is the official steaming partner producing a live Night of Joy Webcast. Disney’s Night of Joy is an annual, two-night concert at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom featuring the top Contemporary Christian artists of the day. This year’s lineup included 17 major artists performing on 3 different stages in the park. Castle Forecourt Stage artists included Hillsong United, Chris Tomlin, Matthew West, Skillet, Casting Crowns, and MercyMe.
For the ﬁrst time ever, Disney’s Night of Joy reached beyond the gates of the Magic Kingdom to the rest of the world. Using Blue Scout Media’s platform, StageHop, fans were able to watch all three stages live from their computers, smartTVs, and mobile devices, and interact via social media with other fans in and outside of the park.
With such a successful event in term of NOJ history and size, the audience attending the Webcast represents the core of the active Christian ranging from Christian families and small groups, to youth groups, and church leaders ranging from pastors to lay leaders.
StageHop.com’s versatile streaming platform enabled viewers to watch the performers across all the three stages on phones, tablets and other internet enabled devices, and created interaction between those onsite at Disney World and outside the park watching the live stream. It created an event that truly breached the walls of the park, and allowed a much larger audience to enjoy the event, and be reached on behalf of the exclusive Webcast sponsors. It also boosted the interaction and social presence of the attendees by providing a platform for their engagement.
