ECPA's Rush To Press

Broadstreet Publishing author and NFL player Charles Tillman
gives away Super Bowl 50 tickets for charity

Brian Medlock of Charlotte, N.C., won a last-minute trip to Super Bowl 50 Friday night from Charles Tillman, Carolina Panthers cornerback and author of The Middle School Rules (Broadstreet Publishing).

Medlock is the raffle winner of the Super Bowl ticket give-away from the Tillman’s Cornerstone Foundation. The prize includes two Super Bowl 50 tickets, airfare, two-night hotel stay, $250 meal vouchers and a signed jersey from Tillman.

In addition, 10 other giveaway winners will receive a signed copy of The Middle School Rules of Charles “Peanut” Tillman, his children’s book which features a collection of anecdotes that highlight the lessons he learned and challenges he faced in his youth. The book is written with former NFL columnist Sean Jensen. While Tillman’s recent knee injury will prevent him from playing in Super Bowl 50, sports fans can see that his attitude in the face of adversity is a worthy example for today’s youth about character building and choosing to find the positive even from negative situations.

The proceeds of the raffle will benefit the “Tiana Fund,” aimed at helping families with in need with children at the Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte. In addition, over 2,500 free copies of The Middle School Rules of Charles “Peanut” Tillman will be distributed this spring to children in Chicago, where Tillman was born.
