AMG Publishers Announces New Strategic Focus
and Organizational Changes
Publisher to focus on specific product categories,
and adjust organizational structure and costs

Chattanooga, TN, June 30, 2016 – AMG Publishers announced today that, after a lengthy review of its strategic direction in light of the changes taking place in American’s reading habits and the Christian book industry, it is going to focus new product development to Bibles, Bible reference and youth fiction. AMG’s products in these categories are unique within their genres and there is a growing demand for them. In addition, to align the organizational structure with its revised, narrower focus, the organization is making staffing changes in the sales and product development areas.

These changes include the departure of Dale Anderson, Vice President of AMG Publishers, who was responsible for overall sales and management of AMG Publishers and Rick Steele, AMG’s New Product Development Manager. “The changes we are making allow us to move forward in a financially sustainable manner, focusing on product categories that fully advance our calling of presenting the Gospel, discipling and equipping the body of Christ,” said Tasos Ioannidis, President/CEO of AMG International.

“We are grateful to Dale and Rick for their faithful service, hard work, and dedication for so many years. The Lord has used them to work on products that have impacted millions of people around the world. Only Heaven will show how many lives have been touched by the products of AMG Publishers. While such changes are never easy, the narrower focus and reduced overhead costs will ensure AMG Publishers is both operationally viable and has the capacity to invest in future opportunities for growth,” he continued.

“While this decision was made extremely difficult by the dedication and loyalty of our staff, this is a necessary step of stewardship to ensure we are sustainable as we renew our focus on the unique products that are touching so many lives,” said Stephen Turner, the Chief Financial Officer who oversees AMG Publishers. “Moving forward AMG is dedicated to investing in the capacity of our remaining staff as we produce relevant products that meet the demands of the marketplace while providing best in class service to both our customers and our authors.”
