Los Angeles, CA &ndash Nicole Weider has transformed her life from being a rising starlet and lingerie model to being a positive role model for young girls through her website ProjectInspired.com. Her incredible testimony will be shared tonight on ABC&rsquos late-night news program NIGHTLINE.
ABC Correspondent Cecilia Vega traveled to Weider&rsquos Los Angeles home to hear her story firsthand. Weider began modeling at the age of 5, and at the age of 16 moved to Hollywood to start a career modeling for the likes of Victoria&rsquos Secret, Maxim and True Religion.  Admittedly young and naïve, she jumped into the dark-side of the celebrity lifestyle built on excess. But by the age of 23, she had fallen into a deep depression.  While she was receiving the professional acclaim she was seeking, her self-image was slowly disintegrating under the constant scrutiny of agents stating she wasn&rsquot thin enough, or beautiful enough.
Out of desperation she cried out to God, and at that moment, everything changed.
While pursuing her new-found path with God, Nicole discovered her true calling: being a mentor, encouraging young women to lead lives of faith, grace and confidence. She created ProjectInspired.com where she offers truthful, unbiased opinions and advice to teens in a safe environment on topics of beauty, fashion, culture, media and faith.  Her unprecedented access and activity on the site gives the readers the feeling of having a big sister to confide in, while her experience living the life of a Hollywood starlet gives her a unique perspective, platform and voice.
Nightline airs nationally at 12:35am EST / 11:30pm CST on ABC. http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA. -- Recycling, preventing suicide, and community involvement: while seemingly diverse and distinct from each other, Madison Shuford addresses each of these in his upcoming Eagle Scout project. He created the endeavor to bring awareness to My Broken Palace, a Rancho Santa Margarita based non-profit that works to prevent teen suicide. Madison hails from Boy Scout Troop 700 in Aliso Viejo.
Madison is leading a team of volunteers who will reach out to 500 local families in the areas surrounding his school, Trabuco Hills High School.  Through a can and bottle recycling drive, the team will raise awareness and provide information about My Broken Palace.  The first two collection dates will be August 17 and September 14 from 8am to 10am at Solana Park in Rancho Santa Margarita.
&ldquoMost Boy Scouts do some kind of construction project, but I wanted my Eagle Scout project to be about helping people in a personal way,&rdquo said Madison. Madison chose to support My Broken Palace in his early teens by frequently volunteering and attending events. This passion was fueled by the uniqueness of My Broken Palace&rsquos mission: to bring hope and healing to struggling teens.
&ldquoMost suicide prevention is done by hotlines. My Broken Palace is different because they interact with people both before and during a crisis. It is like a mini-Facebook where everyone shares the same problems and has the chance to talk to one another and not feel alone,&rdquo Madison said. &ldquoThey are a community instead of an informational website or one time conversation at an event.&rdquo
"It's exciting to see when others find new and creative ways to help raise awareness for such a big need. Madison will hopefully inspire others nationwide to think outside the box and get involved with My Broken Palace.&rdquo shares Scott Brinson, Executive Director for My Broken Palace.
To take part in the Recycling Drive, please bring your aluminum cans and plastic or glass bottles to Solana Park on August 17 and September 14 from 8am to 10am.   Google map link: http://bit.ly/16klI30

Catasauqua, PA &ndash Meeting the unique education needs of both parents and students, Bridgeway Academy has served over 20,000 families around the globe since their start in 1989.  Created to meet the market demand for freedom in education, Bridgeway Academy&rsquos highly customized K-12 programs meet or exceed the highest accreditation standards possible.  Paired with their incredible support network that acts to help reduce the fears and concerns many parents may feel regarding their abilities, homeschooling is more and more being viewed as a viable education option for all varieties of families.
With Bridgeway&rsquos extensive student evaluation, which identifies personality style, gifts and abilities, and the ideal approach to learning for each student, parents can rest easy knowing that they have a program that is guaranteed to work for their child.  Add to that the freedom to select a textbook approach, online learning or live interactive classes with students from all across the country and around the world and education becomes something much more exciting.  Best of all, all programs are tailored to a student&rsquos academic strengths and weaknesses rather than simply assigned based on age and grade level.
This need for educational options has escalated over the summer, with more information being released on the mandate in the public school system to teach the &ldquocommon core&rdquo curriculum.  More and more stories emerge daily of religious freedom being stripped from classrooms, &lsquoalternative&rsquo lifestyles being promoted and students being unprepared after graduation.
Often, families feel trapped by the education choices they have for their children, or they simply are in a unique situation where a public school education is not a good fit.  Some families are required to relocate often or spend significant time overseas.  Others have children who are in competitive sports or the arts and are therefore unable to navigate traditional education&rsquos time requirements.  Some families are uncomfortable with the curriculum used in the public school system, and may not have access to a private education.  Some children have special needs that make options in the education system challenging.  Other parents simply desire to give their children the optimal education available.
&ldquoWhen parents realize the freedom they have in homeschooling when they realize how powerful an individualized education can be and when they see their children shine, they don&rsquot go back,&rdquo explains Jessica Parnell, President of Bridgeway.  &ldquoHomeschooling has opened up the possibilities for millions of students.  As parents, we don&rsquot have to accept a one size fits all education any longer and that opens up the future for our children.&rdquo
Many of Bridgeway&rsquos students pursue excellence not only in the classroom, but in specialized careers or competitive sports that require extensive training that would conflict with a traditional education schedule.  By tapping into the customized curriculum and time-flexibility that homeschooling offers, students are able to excel in both their passions and their education.
Bridgeway Academy is continuing to register students for the 2013-14 school year.  For more information, please call 800-863-1474 to speak with an Admissions Representative.
About Bridgeway Academy
Since 1989, Bridgeway Homeschool Academy has been meeting the market demand for freedom in education. Through a holistic approach to homeschooling that includes customized curriculum, parental support, online tutoring, college prep testing and more, Bridgeway&rsquos homeschool programs exceed state and national accreditation standards. Since it&rsquos inception, over 20,000 students have achieved education success through custom designed learning plans based on each child&rsquos unique strengths, goals, interests and learning style.  Boasting a rate of 80% of students attending college post graduation, Bridgeway is a proven, highly customized alternative to traditional public and private education.

Castle Rock, CO &ndash Groundwire.net exists simply to bring immediate hope and encouragement to hurting people, any where, at any time.  Hundreds of volunteers around the world make up Groundwire&rsquos network, who are available around the clock to hear the needs of the hurting and vulnerable.  As the Groundwire reach grows beyond their own site, more volunteers are needed to act as spiritual coaches, to help serve the multitude of people who seek counsel through their safe and anonymous platform.
Many current volunteers speak of how investing a few hours a week as a spiritual coach has changed their lives as well.
Tonnie states, &ldquoCoaching on Groundwire has given me an opportunity to get out of my &lsquoChristian bubble&rsquo, so-to-speak.  I love connecting with people in the nitty-gritty discussions about real life issues, and helping them to make course corrections.  Groundwire is a very unique and effective evangelistic and mentoring tool!&rdquo
Joni continues, &ldquoGroundwire has given me the ability to share the love of Christ and the hope that is found in Him with others all around the world.  I can reach out from my home to those who are seeking the truth, and have the opportunity to pray for them and talk with them in hope of them finding the joy that I have found in Christ- the answer for all our struggles in life.&rdquo
Other radio networks and websites, such as I Am Second, Go Tandem and WayFM are served by Groundwire as well, supplying their interactive platform and staffed counselors to help meet these growing ministries&rsquo needs as well.   No matter how a hurting person reaches Groundwire, they are given a voice, a caring listener, and given a message of the love of Jesus. Many seek follow up information, and agree to participate in Groundwire&rsquos &ldquoNext Steps&rdquo 21-day discipleship program.
Throughout the summer, Groundwire is actively pursuing teachable adults who passionately love Jesus, who are committed to the Great Commission and who possess a servant&rsquos heart.   With a simple commitment of 2-4 hours a week, Coaches help each person feel loved, by introducing them to Christ, by praying for the chatter, and helping connect them to a local church or resource and encourage them to take next steps.    Coaches are able to work anywhere the choose, as long as they have reliable internet access.
To volunteer to be a Spiritual Coach, applicants must fill out an information sheet, successfully complete a background check, and go through an evaluation process.  All who volunteer or work with Groundwire must also agree with the Groundwire Statement of Faith.  Groundwire commits to training and mentoring for their coaches, as well as safety in their client discussions.  More information can be found here - www.groundwire.net/coaching.
Groundwire was launched in 2003 as an outreach program of Champion Ministries on two secular stations in Denver, CO and Spokane, WA with radio spots that simply shared the hope, love and purpose of Christ.  This model has evolved, with targeted ads currently heard on over 1,500 radio and TV stations (both Christian and secular), reaching a weekly audience of over 20 million.  Hundreds of volunteers offer live coaching and encouragement 24 hours a day via www.groundwire.net, which averaged over 200,000 visits each month in 2012.
Champion Ministries d.b.a. Groundwire operates as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.

Orange County, CA,&ndash FrontGate, the leading faith-based, culture-engaged, media & marketing group, announced the addition of the new FaithLauncher crowdfunding community to their growing web network roster.
FaithLauncher is a faith-based community site empowering Christians everywhere to take action, build God's Kingdom, and positively influence culture. It is a social crowdfunding platform solely dedicated to Christian inspired projects from entrepreneurs, ministries, filmmakers, musicians, artists, and more. The site was created for people to showcase their project, engage support, and achieve their funding goal.
With FaithLauncher, the faith community no longer has to wade through a sea of often undesirable projects and content in order to find and support projects that align with their core faith and family interests.
"FaithLauncher is the best choice in crowdfunding for Christians. Unlike other crowdfunding sites, FaithLauncher is aligned with Biblical values and permits all types of projects relevant to Christians. Even better, they let you use what you raise to move your project forward even if you don&rsquot meet the targeted goal you set for yourself as you learn and experience the crowdfunding phenomenon. FaithLauncher is a safe place for the Christian church family to support one another.&rdquo - Scott A. Shuford, President, FrontGate
Because FaithLauncher understands that not everyone has experience with the relatively new crowdfunding model, project creators will receive 100% of what they raise in order to move their project forward even if they do not reach 100% of their funding goal. This allows project creators to gain experience and build community around their campaigns. FaithLauncher also allows charity, cause, and fund my life projects prohibited by other crowdfunding sites, providing people of faith with an outlet for these very important efforts. The site is the first and only platform that incorporates prayer, service, and volunteering opportunities into any project.
Project creators also have the opportunity to work with an expert, a FaithLauncher Coach, who will guide them from start to finish in order to increase their success.
Another offering unique to FaithLauncher, projects have no setup fees. Details for project creators on how they can utilize FaithLauncher opportunities can be found in the Media Kit at FrontGateMedia.com.
"The FaithLauncher team is very excited to join the FrontGate family of Christian media outlets! Our platform is well positioned to bring a more effective and relational approach to crowdfunding for the faith-based market. Our alliance with FrontGate allows us to significantly expand that value by providing Faithdoers with added tools to attract every kind of supporter they need. We&rsquore confident in FrontGate&rsquos aligned mission to empower the faith community&rsquos excellent work with optimal resources.&rdquo &ndash Fernando Chavez, Founder/CEO, FaithLauncher
