Greensboro, NC — New Growth Press is pleased to announce a multi-year partnership with Harvest USA and Faith Biblical Counseling, two well-established and highly respected ministries that offer hope and healing to those who wrestle under the weight of personal sin. Both organizations share with New Growth Press a common vision to proclaim truth, mercy and the transforming power of the gospel to a sick and broken world.
New Growth Press publishes a broad range of counseling and gospel-centered literature and specializes in helping content-generating ministries such as Harvest USA and Faith Biblical Counseling to effectively grow and brand their resources. “We are thrilled to be given the opportunity to team up with two such progressive ministries,” says Karen Teears, president of New Growth Press. “Both of these groups are uniquely positioned to offer real and viable assistance to the individual, the family and the church. We are honored to be able to support them in achieving their separate missions, which so fit within our own.”
John Freeman, president of Harvest USA, anticipates substantial benefit from the long-term relationship with New Growth Press. “Harvest USA is delighted about our partnership with New Growth Press in publishing and distributing our books and curricula. Their experience in publishing resources for small groups and niche publications for specific life-struggles will enable Harvest USA to reach a broad audience. Our desire is that these resources will assist men, women and families as they deal with sexual brokenness issues and will assist the church at large in equipping church leadership and lay people to know how to help those who battle with these life-dominating issues.”
Harvest USA (http://www.harvestusa.org) began in 1983 as an outreach ministry in Center City, Philadelphia, to the homosexual community. Since that time, Harvest USA has expanded its outreach to include those who struggle with sexual sin issues of all types, such as pornography, sexual addictions, etc. Today, the larger mission of the ministry is to equip the church to address these issues and to step into the lives of those impacted by sexual sin. Harvest USA currently has three offices. The national office is still located in Philadelphia, with a regional office in Chattanooga and in Pittsburgh.
Recent mini-book releases by Harvest USA include Your Gay Child Says “I Do,” What’s Wrong with a Little Porn When You’re Married? and What’s Wrong with a Little Porn When You’re Single? Future mini-books include iSnooping on Your Kids and Sex and the Single Girl. Sexual Sanity for Men and Sexual Sanity for Women are the latest resources for small groups. Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries in Lafayette, Indiana, began in 1977 as a ministry of the church in an effort to evangelize the lost and to disciple believers whose lives were troubled and difficult. Many came for help, people were changed and counselors grew in number. Others were trained to point the way to the life-altering power of Jesus. Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries continues today with a very similar mission to provide excellent biblical counseling as well as quality training to help equip others to counsel those in their own churches and communities. “We see our partnership with New Growth Press as an exciting opportunity to extend Faith Biblical Counseling Ministry’s Christ-centered outreach to people looking for practical resources based on Scripture. The ability to communicate truths about God’s compassion to hurting people and those seeking answers is indeed a blessing. We look forward to working closely with New Growth Press in order to give people the ability to counsel with confidence and compassion,” says Steve Viars, senior pastor of Faith Church.
Recent mini-book releases by Faith Biblical Counseling such as Authority Issues, Leaving Your Family Behind and Reuniting after Military Deployment are excellent resources for military families.
