NEW YORK, March 5, 2012 – Indivisible: Restoring Faith, Family, and Freedom Before It’s Too Late (FaithWords/Hachette Book Group, February 20, 2012) by James Robison and Jay Richards will debut at No. 5 on The New York Times Nonfiction Hardcover Bestseller List publishing on March 11. The book also hit No. 33 on the USA Today Best-Selling Books list published on March 1, No. 2 on the Wall Street Journal Best-Selling Books list published on March 3, and will be No. 7 on the Publishers Weekly bestseller list the week of March 5.
James Robison, host of the syndicated television program LIFE Today, and award-winning author Jay Richards carefully explain in the new book our country’s most pressing concerns – skyrocketing debt, rising poverty, abortion, judicial activism, the decline of marriage, environmental problems, education issues, etc. – and the folly of creating a more powerful state to combat them. "As government has waxed, our liberties have waned."
"Our freedom, our way of life, and our future is in peril, and not just from hostile enemies abroad," write Robison and Richards. The authors contend that the solution to our society’s problems is a long-term approach that values principles, not partisanship. While agreeing "God is not a Republican . . . or a Democrat," Robison and Richards believe good policies must apply true principles in the right way and encompass moral truth, as well as economic truth.
Drawing on historical, Biblical, philosophical, modern-day and personal examples, Robison and Richards lay out a blueprint for change based on foundational principles. "If we can etch these [principles] on our hearts and minds, seek a life of holiness and wisdom so we can discern them, teach them to our children, and apply them wisely in our personal lives and politics, then with God’s help, we’ll have most of what’s needed to restore faith, family, and freedom in the twenty-first century."
The authors just wrapped up a 21-city bus tour spanning Florida, Alabama, Lousiana, Okalahoma and Texas.
