New York, NY–December 28, 2010— December 25 and 26 were the two biggest ebook sales days ever for Random House, Inc., the largest U.S. English-language trade book publisher. Combined ebook sales across e-retailers on December 25th and 26th rose more than 300% over last year’s sales for the same two-day period, which had been Random House’s best two-day ebook sales period ever.

Random House, Inc. leading titles from this two-day holiday selling period include Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy — THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, THE GIRL WHO PLAYED WITH FIRE and THE GIRl WHO KICKED THE HORNET’S NEST — with a combined 115,000 units sold in ebook format across e-retailers. Other top Random House, Inc. titles include John Grisham’s THE CONFESSION, George Bush’s DECISION POINTS, Laura Hillenbrand’s UNBROKEN, and Markus Zusak’s THE BOOK THIEF.

For the first time, Random House also saw a significant sales increase for its children’s picture books available in ebook format, including GO, DOG, GO, a classic children’s book written and illustrated by P. D. Eastman, published by Random House Children’s in 1961.
