CPE | Hershey tradeshow encourages, equips and engages independent Christian retailers and suppliers through training, order writing and artists’ and authors’ showcases. CPE is the ONLY tradeshow that is free to attend and provides a generous reimbursement program for a potentially all-expense paid trip. To get the show started on the right note, CPE will begin on Sunday, January 16th at 3:00 p.m. with a Bible conference led by Bible teacher June Hunt (Crossway/Harvest House) and pastor/author Keith Johnson (Biblical Foundations). Following the family-style dinner that evening, GRAMMY and GMA Dove Award winner Rebecca St. James (Provident) will be featured at the Night of Worship. Later that night, the premiere of The Grace Card (Provident Films) will be featured. Monday, January 17th, will commence with pastor and author of the long-anticipated book, Unconditional by Brian Zahnd (Strang). During the retailer workshops on Monday, industry veteran and closeout retail expert Mark Schoepke (Tree of Life stores) will host a “Developing a Bargain and Remainder Strategy That Works” workshop. Other workshops include “Getting the Best Results from Social Networking” and VBS workshops from Standard, Abingdon, Concordia, Group and Gospel Light. Free Bookstore Manager training and retailer roundtables will also be held. (Retailers will have the chance to attend the retail training workshop that best meets their needs.) A vast variety of publishers, music companies, gift companies, retail service providers and distributors will be on hand at the Exhibit Hall. Over 70 vendors are expected to showcase their newest and best products. In addition, over half of them will offer a selection of bargain, remainder and closeouts including Thomas Nelson, Zondervan, Tyndale, Barbour, EMI CMG, Lighthouse Christian Products, Harvest House, Abingdon and more! At the Monday evening banquet and showcase, Cindy Woodsmall (Waterbrook) and guest from the Amish community will be interviewed regarding the increasing popularity and curiosity of the Amish way of life. Michael Card (Intervarsity Press/Discovery House Music) will sing and speak about his new Luke project, and bestselling author and speaker, Anne Graham Lotz will serve as our keynote speaker. Following the evening banquet will be an exclusive showing of the new movie Courageous (Sherwood/Provident Films). Tuesday morning devotions will be hosted by Harvest House and feature bestselling authors Dannah Gresh and Mindy Starnes Clark. Retailers will enjoy the rest of Tuesday with the exhibitors and CPE Hershey will conclude with the cash prize giveaways!
