Carol Stream, IL (August 2010) – Tyndale House Publishers is partnering with Insight for Living and Providential Pictures to release Charles Swindoll’s Paws & Tales DVD series. Paws & Tales, an exciting new Bible-based animated DVD series for children, produced by Cliff McDowell, is based on the popular radio series by the same name. The radio series grew out of the bestselling book Paw Paw Chuck’s Big Ideas in the Bible by popular Christian author and pastor Charles Swindoll.
This new animated series takes kids into the exciting world of a group of friendly forest animals—C.J., Staci, Ned, Gooz, and Marsha—as they embark on a host of imaginative, fun-filled adventures in the peaceful community of Wildwood. Paws & Tales entertains young children ages 4–8, while also introducing them to important, life-changing biblical truth. Each episode features original sing-along songs that make the core lesson fun and memorable.
“I am continually amazed at the impact a simple, carefully worded story can have on young lives,” says Insight for Living founder Charles Swindoll. “Nothing quiets them more quickly or so completely captures their curiosity. Our hope and prayer is that every episode of Paws & Tales will provide families with more opportunities to discuss the really important things in life.”
The first of 13 Paws & Tales DVDs will release from Tyndale House Publishers in February 2011. Each DVD will feature two full video episodes, along with DVD extras, including two music videos, plus children’s activities designed to reinforce the teaching theme featured on the animated shows.
Paws & Tales was selected by Trinity Broadcasting Network’s channel for kids, Smile of a Child TV, for its weekly broadcast lineup. In the first week of telecast, starting July 17, Paws & Tales was the number one program in TBN’s children’s block.
