During Marketsquare Europe 2010, 1-2 October 2010 in Oradea, Romania, ChristianTrade Association International will award the fourth European Christian Book of the Year. These prestigious awards acknowledge excellence in original Christian titles by European publishers. Marketsquare Europe delegates have the privilege of voting for the winning titles during the convention.
“European Christian publishers are saying things that the world needs to hear,” says ChristianTrade President Jim Powell, “and we want to provide recognition and a platform for the wider dissemination for their titles.”
“How often do Christians in America hear about the best-selling titles that their brothers and sisters are writing overseas?” asks Kim Pettit, chief operating officer for ChristianTrade. “This is an opportunity to bring a wider audience to titles that surely deserve it. God’s word through a Romanian, Polish or Ukrainian author may just be what the world needs to hear today.”
Marketsquare Europe precedes the Frankfurt International Book Fair. Approximately 50 publishers from the region are expected to attend, along with exhibitors from the U.S. and Europe. Christian publishers with offices in Continental Europe are urged to submit titles for consideration for the 2010 European Christian Book of the Year now.
