ChristianTrade Association International

At Marketsquare Asia, an event organized by ChristianTrade Association International,
American and international publishers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers will gather
10-11 September at the Fort Canning YWCA to learn from each other and to do business.

“Marketsquare Asia is the largest gathering of the trade in Asia,” says Jim Powell, president
of ChristianTrade. “It is the perfect opportunity to expand sales through the English-language
markets throughout Asia. And, as a commercial and transportation hub for the region, Singapore
is an ideal location for licensing international rights.”

Exhibitors already planning to come include B&H International, Editora Mundo Cristao,
Scandinavia Publishing House, Strang, Tyndale and other major international companies who see
opportunity in the growing Asian market.

“The training to be offered at Marketsquare Asia is outstanding,” says Kim Pettit, ChristianTrade
chief executive officer. “In addition to sessions on merchandising, customer service, and
international rights, we will also focus on trends in Christian publishing and what makes a
bestseller.” Jack Scott, ChristianTrade’s director of training and development, will also offer
the Professional Retailer’s Institute on September 9, prior to the start of Marketsquare Asia.

“We are delighted that Daniel Scott Mays will be the featured speaker at the Celebration
Dinner for Marketsquare Asia,” says Powell. Mays, of B & H Publishing, is based in Brisbane,
Australia. He has worked in the Christian publishing industry for more than 25 years and has
experience in retail, wholesale distribution and publishing, and frequently leads seminars on
leadership, Christian growth, and marriage enrichment.

"Marketsquare Asia is a three-country event,” adds Pettit, ChristianTrade chief executive
officer. “ChristianTrade will be in Beijing on Thursday and Friday, 2 & 3 September; in Seoul
on Monday and Tuesday 6 & 7; and in Singapore on Friday and Saturday 10 & 11. The focus in
Beijing and Seoul is translation rights.”
