Carol Stream, IL— Oasis Audio has named industry veteran and current Oasis New Business Development Director Tammy Faxel as Publisher and Sales Director. With over 25 years of experience, Faxel has held positions in sales, national account management, author acquisition, and product development within the publishing industry at Tyndale House Publishers, Biblica, and Books to Inspire.

Faxel’s appointment comes in the wake of the resignation of current publisher Dan Balow, who publicly announced his plans on Friday to leave the company to pursue new opportunities.

“Dan has made a significant contribution to not only Oasis, but to the audio industry as a whole,” said David Morris, owner of Oasis Audio. “We’ve appreciated and benefited from his leadership and wish him well in his future endeavors.”

In her new role as publisher, Faxel has named Keri Tryba as Sales Account Manager. Tryba has an extensive background in publishing and author relations, having worked alongside many of today’s best-selling authors such as Kevin Leman, Bodie and Brock Thoene, Francine Rivers, Karen Kingsbury, and Jerry Jenkins. She spent several years at Tyndale House Publishers where she helped create a competitive advantage by building and maintaining profitable relationships with authors and working directly with marketing and sales to enhance effective marketing plans. Her first day with Oasis will be June 21.

“Keri has strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of the publishing world and that will be a great asset to Oasis as she works with retailers and distributors,” said Faxel.

By moving aggressively over the last 10 years, Oasis Audio has become a leading audiobook publisher in the inspirational and self-help market with best-selling titles such as The Shack, The Five Love Languages and Anne Frank Remembered. Oasis, which is located in the western suburbs of Chicago, releases more than 175 products a year from both the Christian and general market trade publishers, several of which have been finalists for and winners of Audie Awards.

“Oasis is well positioned for continued growth and a strong future,” said Faxel. “We have a lot of exciting things happening both now and in the coming months with new products, new partnerships, and increased visibility.”

Retailers or other industry personnel wishing to discuss the latest changes at Oasis can reach Faxel at 630-668-5367 x106 or via e-mail at tfaxel@oasisaudio.com
