“I’m grateful and honored that the Christy Awards have chosen to recognize these authors and titles. We’ve always been appreciative of the role they take in setting a high bar in Christian fiction,” said Dwight Baker, president of Baker Publishing Group.

Established in 1999, the Christy Awards were created to “nurture and encourage creativity and quality in the writing and publishing of fiction written from a Christian worldview.”

Titles are nominated in seven categories and each category of novels is then read and evaluated against a ten-point criteria by a panel of judges. This year’s award winners will be announced on June 26, 2010 at a ceremony before the International Christian Retail Show, held in St. Louis.
