March 24, 2010 Sisters, Oregon–VMI Publishers has decided to change its name to Deep River Books as it moves forward with a new website and a fresh new look. Owners Bill and Nancie Carmichael say, “The name, Deep River reflects our roots and the roots of our authors that out of the heart will flow rivers of living water to bring hope, healing, inspiration, and information to both believers and unbelievers. Deep River also reflects A RIVER of wisdom, knowledge, and inspiration that flows from our authors’ hearts, creating books that help readers grow DEEP in God’s Word and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The new Web site www.deepriverbooks.com is designed to showcase Deep River Books’ wonderful authors and the powerful stories, teaching, and inspiration they bring to the world. Deep River Books pours into authors training and mentoring them to help their dreams become a reality.

Deep River Books was founded by Bill and Nancie Carmichael. When it comes to publishing and writing, the Carmichaels are veterans. The Carmichaels are the founding publishers of Good Family Magazines, which included Christian Parenting Today, Virtue, and Parents of Teenagers magazines, with a combined readership of over one million.
