Two books by Miami mega church pastor Guillermo Maldonado, Cómo Caminar en el Poder Sobrenatural de Dios and La Gloria de Dios, are vying for the Spanish Evangelical Press Association’s (SEPA) Book of the Year Award.  The winner will be announced at Expolit 2013 taking place in Miami May 2-5.

La Gloria de Dios is also nominated for SEPA’s best original book in Spanish. According to SEPA, nominees were determined by bookstores and distributors who were asked what book had made “the greatest impact” on them in the past year.

Dr. Maldonado is also releasing his latest book, The Kingdom of Power: How to Demonstrate It Here & Now, at Expolit 2013. As with his previous titles, both English and Spanish (El Reino de Poder Cómo Demostrarlo Aquí y Ahora) versions are releasing simultaneously. In the new book, Dr. Maldonado teaches readers how to enter the kingdom of God, receive its benefits, and expand its power over the earth.

Whether writing or preaching to his congregation of over 20,000 at King Jesus Ministry International, Miami, Dr. Maldonado emphasizes each Christian’s responsibility to be ambassadors of Christ to those in need and to enthusiastically proclaim and demonstrate God’s kingdom, power, and glory here on earth. Dr. Maldonado’s books reflect his vibrant “hands on” approach to ministry that is sparking revival in Spanish and English speaking communities worldwide.

Whitaker House’s top selling author since the release of How to Walk in the Supernatural Power of God at Expolit 2011, Dr. Maldonado’s message is stirring the hearts of church and political leaders as well as rank-and-file church goers. The former President of Colombia, Alvaro Uribe Vélez, said “readers will find a source of spiritual enrichment and an invitation to know a supernatural, almighty God who still performs miracles.” Florida Governor Rick Scott, who describes Dr. Maldonado as “my friend,” said “he is a man who understands that no matter how we measure success, true achievements are not reached without faith and devotion to the Christian life.

Besides the SEPA Award nominations, La Gloria de Dios is a finalist in the Spanish products category of the 2013 Christian Retailing’s Best awards sponsored by Christian Retailing magazine, and the English version, The Glory of God, is a finalist in the charismatic category. According to Christian Retailing magazine, “those who qualified to vote were asked to judge the nominations on their impact: including their ability to speak to people’s hearts and evoke emotion; open people’s minds to new ways of thinking; and encourage and affirm Christ-like living.”

Winners of the Christian Retailing’s Best awards—formerly known as the Retailers Choice Awards—will be announced at the International Christian Retail Show (ICRS) in St. Louis June 23-26.

Dr. Maldonado holds a doctorate in theology from Vision International University and a masters degree in theology from Oral Roberts University. Besides his pastoral responsibilities, he serves as apostle to over 100 church leaders in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. He and his wife and ministry partner, Ana, and their two sons, Bryan and Ronald live in Miami.
