In the non-fiction categories, nominees are Creature of the Word by Matt Chandler, Josh Patterson, and Eric Geiger (Church & Culture); Embracing Obscurity by Anonymous (Christian Living/Spiritual Growth); The Vow by Kim and Krickett Carpenter (Autobiography/Biography); Mended by Angie Smith (Women); and 7 by Jen Hatmaker (Christian Living/Practical Living). In the fiction category genres are A Plain Death by Amanda Flower (Amish), Double Blind by Brandilyn Collins (Mystery/Suspense), October Baby by Eric Wilson with Theresa Preston (General) and Unconditional by Eva Marie Everson (General). Two titles in the new B&H Kids line were also nominated: Firebird by Brent McCorkle and Amy Parker (Children’s Fiction) and Courageous Teens by Michael Catt and Amy Parker (Young Adult Non-Fiction). The KJV Study Bible, the first full color KJV study Bible, is nominated in the General Bible category. Other nominees include The Love Dare by Stephen and Alex Kendrick, and The Resolution for Men, also by the Kendricks. Both titles, which continue to gain in popularity and impact, are nominated in the backlist category. Introduced in 2001, the awards sponsored by Christian Retailing have been increasingly acknowledged as an important way of recognizing some of the most significant new life- changing products in the Christian retail industry. Winners will be presented at the International Christian Retail Show in St. Louis in June.
